I'm from Appy and believe me, I don't hide behind a name. You go to Appy and ask who Mik Mo is, you'll probably get the correct answer. I'm sure LPDFTBL is the same way. Just because a couple of meetings didn't turn out, no need to label him any way other than a respectable person.

I didn't say he wasn't respectable at all, lot of people I dont know on here are. Word gets around though, people have been trying to meet LPDFTBL, GCQuincy, Broady, and the bunch for years and they dont show. Just find it odd, I've even been beside Hunter316 a few times when those guys from GC walked by and talked to them they didn't even say a word about who they were. I just find it odd how some who are so opinionated (which I am as well) dont like to be known. Indian Dad and I may disagree, but at least we know who each other are, I can respect a man alot more for that. Like I said I like LPDFTBL but he like I am guilty of getting caught up in stuff sometimes, I remember when he told me there was no way I graduated with honors from high school just because I made a D in an advanced math class. I had to put my diploma on here to prove him wrong on that one. I admitt I never really think my view is wrong, however I do respect others views and try not to get really riled up unless it's an out and out lie. I see both points of views from the Norton side and his, just like when he said the stuff about PV a few days ago I stood up for my town, thats what the people from Norton are doing. Just my .02 cents.

I have been lucky enough to have met some good folks on here in person (you, Freddy, Shoe, LPDFTBL, spuds, Quincy, broady, burton 2019, Coeburn cane, alienist, juggernaut,burrhead (yes burrhead when I met him in person seemed like a nice enough fellow) among many others, and I can honestly say that I thought they all were good folks. Sometimes we get wrapped up or just misinterpret what typed words are.

I attended a game a few years back and met up with all these guys you mentioned, plus a few more like Ole Tob and BigAl. Everyone sat in the same section so we could talk about football and the forum. I've also met spudsmac, CentennialDawg, trumpet88, and PVVikeFan. Nice guys, all. I just regret I don't get to see these guys more often than what I do. Nature of the thing since RC don't get an extraordinary amount of games with LPD schools.

Simple fact,

Like NSSB said, it is tougher to be fair when you know someone, biggest reason I don't go out of my way to meet people. Met some, know several, and will talk to them if I see them or they talk, honestly I'm not nowhere near as talkative as I used to be. I used to love to sit around and talk to people, I just find myself disliking people more and more, so the less I associate with, the easier it is on my head [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

You're probably right LPD about groups and people ganging up, but likewise, that goes with you too. Heard from several people who felt they couldn't discuss anything or question Appy because some of your friends or group would gang up on them. We all feel that way, we all think that at times.

I used to say that if there was something said bad about GC, I think several of that group had each other on IM and would send out the bat signal to tell them to come bash back. You could post a non-complimentary GC message and if you seen one name on, give it 5 minutes and 5 others were on.

People leave. Some have kids graduate and they don't have the fire to keep on. Some are kids who graduated. Some get married, have kids, etc. Things do change. Kind of like NSSB said, there have been several forums I was on that I used to frequent big time and probably haven't been to in the better part of 10 years. Interests, excitement levels, and yes attitudes do change and people will always come/go.

We all think its 'gang mentality'. Its funny. Burrhead would think I was picking on him, you would think we was giving him more rope than others. Counts can probably verify it. If we warned him, it was hey LPD or so and so did/said this and its just as bad. Likewise, if we warned or said something to you all, it was immediately 'hey Burrhead gets a pass'.

I think most of the people on this forum and the old timers forum get plenty of passes.

You know, I mean we could change the forum to every post needs approved, but honestly I don't think its been to bad. Sure you'll have some smartassed replies now and then, and just like anything else in life, you're going to have people who dont like others 'or at least their posting persona' but you can't make everybody happy.

For every 'clique' you see, there is someone who can't stand the with one for the lpdftballer posts. There are people wondering why Indian_dad mentions prison all the time, there are people who say I modify anything bad about the Wave, etc etc.

I don't delete many posts. Don't edit many posts. Honestly there are times I can't read some posts, they hurt my head, and honestly I'm sure that people don't read mine because it hurts their head. No big deal.

If someone wants to complain about something specific, let them PM me. I'll try to be fair. Steer has posted a lot time on the forum. Asked me about the Pound football thread the other day if we could delete it. Is there some stupid stuff there? Abso-freaking-lutely. Is there anything there that really violates the rules? Not really or not that I seen.

To me, in a nutshell, it shows some of the problems with the Pound program and community. Will everybody agree with me on that? Probably not. I mean we could make little subforums dealing with each school and only allowing people from that community post there. I dont think that would be a great forum.

As for the IP comments, they are checked more than you realize. Give you a hint, most of the people who are wanting to stir the pot are smart enough to have alternate posting methods, use proxys, post with one name from different locations, etc.

Even if you take away the ability to use freemail accounts, something like adelphia will allow I think up to 8 different email accounts on a particular account. There is almost always going to be tricks and ways around the system.

I know I would have caved if someone was in trouble legally and their son/daughter asked me to delete something that embarrassed their family. Not to mention that a brother you lost in your life was best friends with Greg. You still didn't cave and delete the stuff about him. I respect what you guys try to do, and I would not want to be in your position.
